We are a local group, based in Shepway, Kent, that meets in the evening once a month for informal, sociable networking at the Red Lion in Hythe, Kent.
We started as a business networking group but as the group has developed we have stopped talking about business all the time and as a result have decided to refocus on what we really love doing within the group. What we really love doing is connecting with each other, sharing knowledge and referrals and generally having a good time, off duty – as it were!
We meet once a month on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (to ensure everyone can attend at least some of the meetings during the year) and we have a meal together.
The Red Lion offers a lovely atmosphere and great food at great prices. There is no membership fee and no booking required. You can just turn up and pay for your food and drinks on the night.
The group attracts local business owners who are interested in meeting other local business owners in a relaxed, sociable environment to talk a bit of business as well as anything else that comes up. We usually have lively chats around a variety of different subjects driven by the experiences of the attendees.
We have been going for over 4 years now and we have a core of regulars who now know each other extremely well and are great networkers, and very hospitable to new people! Most of us are serial networkers so we have many contacts both in Kent and elsewhere.
